Igloo Diamonds® mission is to offer an ethical alternative to the existing diamond product and purchase process, by selling diamonds that can be acquired with the clearest of conscience, offer a moving and rewarding experience to the buyer and recipient, and, as importantly, better the world.
To that end, we sell only clearly clean origin Canadian diamonds, cut to perfection under highest labour standards, all GIA and AGS graded, and have them also clear, each, a designated plot in a minefield in Mozambique, all, in conformity with fair trade principles and while playing an active ethical role in the world.
This we achieve through the allocation of close to one half their gross profit to the cause.
Igloo Diamonds® strives to have ethically produced luxury goods, diamonds in particular, support important ethical causes and by so doing endow the product with unique intrinsic added value while bettering the world;
We see diamonds as a compound product combining a superb gemstone, ethically sourced and produced, with an external event;
We see a diamond trade in which the Igloo brand is a leader, in having each diamond unique not only in its physical intrinsic structure and make, but also in its individual and unique footprint of goodness in the real world, in line with fair trade principles;
We envision a world in which wearing a diamond adornment is associated with doing good and doing well, rather than with greed;
We aim for having public consumption of goods influenced by celebrities and statesmen who support a new fashion industry, based on unique partnerships between NGOs and fashion industry members, rather than on vanity and profit;
We count on consumers common sense, natural sense of solidarity and underlying, ingrained human kindness to help us implement this vision.
