The Igloo Diamonds ® brand acquires its diamonds only, and strictly so, from cutters and polishers that participate in a unique program termed the «Canadian Diamond Voluntary Code of Conduct», initiated and developed by a broad spectrum of parties involved in the Canadian diamond industry, from Canadian government bodies such as the Canadian Competition Bureau and the RCMP through Jewelry Vigilance Canada, the Canadian Jewellers Associations, and a committee of professionals and experts from the diamond mining, cutting and retailing industries respectively. The records of all Igloo Diamonds enable the determination of their respective, unique origin in a particular Canadian diamond mining region. The chain of handlers of each diamond reaching Igloo Diamonds is open to auditing by a diamond buyer or the enforcers of the code. To achieve this goal, each and every Igloo Diamond must be traceable, in a fail-proof manner, through the seamless, uninterrupted and carefully documented chain of handling: from the final sale to the end user back to its origin in a particular Canadian mining region, through the records of its cutters and polishers and, in turn, the records of their own suppliers, complete with the separately kept and enumerated Canadian origin lot at every stage and level.
Each Igloo Diamonds ® is sent accompanied by the Igloo Diamond «Certificate of Canadian Origin», attesting to its provenance from a particular, named, diamond mining region in Canada, naming also its actual Canadian Diamond Code-participant cutting shop, and indicating this shop's unique Canadian Origin Manufacturing Number assigned to it.

Those that participate also in the local governments' identification program aimed at diamonds cut in «Yellowknife» Canada, are issued a numbered governmental certification of authenticity of origin (view). The serial number of the diamond on the certificate is also Laser engraved on the diamond girdle:
